Construction Quality Management

Do you want to enhance your company’s ability to do business with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) and NAVFAC (Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command), deliver a quality product, increase repeat business, better your reputation, and make a more substantial profit? If this is important to you, then enroll in Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors, brought to you by the partnership of ABC Rocky Mountain Chapter and the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers (USACE)

What is CQM?

The USACE and NAVFAC require contractor’s Quality Control Managers to attend the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors and obtain a Certificate of Completion before being allowed to perform their quality control responsibilities outlined in contracts. Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors is the performance of tasks which ensure that construction is performed according to plans and specifications, on time, within a defined budget, and a safe work environment.

Why Attend this CQM training?

The CQM certification is required for Army Corps and Navy construction contracts. This required training emphasizes the mutual goal of the contractor and the government in providing a quality product. This program encourages proactive leadership and provides methods to get it right the first time. It provides training on the CQM concepts and procedures used in Army Corps and Navy construction contracts. These concepts fit perfectly with commercial construction work, taking CQM down to the working level and familiarizing participants with the importance of all parts of the contract: safety, quality, environmental, etc.

Who Should Attend?

This training must be taken by any contractor selected to do work for the Army Corps or Navy. Attendees develop an understanding of how to integrate quality, by planning into every aspect of the project from the pre-construction to project close-out. Attendees who successfully complete the training will receive a certificate issued by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. The certificate is valid for 5 years. CQM can be applied successfully to private-sector work. All managers in charge of quality, at both general and subcontractor companies, will benefit from this training.
