Program History
The Associated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter (ABC RMC) has provided the Wyoming Electrical Apprenticeship Education Program in various formats since the mid-1980’s. The program consists of a four level (year) curriculum delivered locally to apprentices by designated instructors throughout the State. The program’s goal is to offer a complete education of electrical apprentices, qualifying them to screen for their Journeyman’s license and to perform their jobs properly and safely.
Curriculum
The program utilizes curriculum developed through the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) in Gainesville, Florida. Created by Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) throughout the United States electrical industry, the curriculum is recognized throughout the country and is approved by the Wyoming State Fire Marshal’s office, the electrical licensing entity responsible for Electrical Journeyman and Masters’ licensing.
The curriculum consists of four levels of educational material that address the skills, techniques, and mathematics to prepare apprentices or individuals for their Wyoming Journeyman's exam and a safe, licensed career in the electrical industry.
