CONSTRUCTION CORE COMPETENCY
The Construction Core Competency (C3) Safety Training is a program designed to cover all of the basic safety training needs for ABC member companies. C3 training consists of four levels:

Aerial Lift Qualified Operator
Scissor Lift Certified Operator
Trenching and Excavation Awareness
Mini Excavator Qualified Operator
Powder Actuated Gun Trained
All-Terrain Forklift Certified Operator
Lock Out tag Out
Qualified Signal & Rigger
For all employees involved in construction work, this class teaches the skills to properly secure and direct loads on site.
Teaches critical skills to respond to and manage first aid, choking and sudden cardiac arrest before EMS arrives.
OSHA 10 Hour
One day class designed for all employees involved in construction work including job foremen, superintendents, engineers and any personnel involved in projects.
OSHA 30 Hour
Four-day class that meets once a week. Teaches health and safety awareness by helping supervisors and workers reduce the risk of workplace hazards. Additional benefits of OSHA 30-Hour Training include prevention of possible worksite hazards, understanding workers’ rights, employer responsibilities and more.

Strengthening Company Safety Programs with STEP
ABC's Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Awards program was designed to help contractors establish an organized approach for developing a company's safety and loss-prevention program. STEP includes objective methods to measure safety program improvements. In addition to fostering a safer work environment, ABC's STEP recognition can be used as an important business development tool with clients. Members may submit a STEP application anytime during the year.
Online OSHA Training
ABC Rocky Mountain Chapter, in partnership with the American Safety Council, offers OSHA authorized outreach training 100% on-line. ABC Rocky Mountain Chapter members can order the following OSHA authorized and OSHA related training courses:

Safety Forum Meetings
Safety forum meetings are co-hosted with the Independent Electrical Contractor Rocky Mountain Chapter and are free to attend for all ABC and IEC members. Locations vary by month; to get more information on meetings, or to be added to the invitation list, please contact us.
