The Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Rocky Mountain Chapter is proud to announce that 14 national awards were presented to members during ABC’s 29th annual National Excellence in Construction® Awards celebration at ABC Convention 2019 in Long Beach, California. The awards presented were for the Excellence in Construction Awards program, National Safety Excellence Awards, and National Diversity Excellence Awards.
"ABC Members and their projects were recognized as being the 'Best of the Best', said Doug Carlson, ABC President & CEO. "Quality, Excellence, Innovation and Merit describe these awards recognizing our Rocky Mountain Chapter members." The Excellence in Construction awards program is the industry’s leading competition that honors both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects. The award honors all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer. The winning projects, selected from entries submitted from across the nation, were judged on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost. National Safety Excellence Award Winners National Safety Awards winners have exemplified an outstanding commitment to safety through training and education programs as well as excellence in all 20 components of ABC’s STEP program.
National Diversity Excellence Award Winners The National Diversity Excellence Award honors members who have displayed exceptional leadership in diversity of their workforce, supply chain, and community through best-in-class recruitment, retention practices, and training programs.

ABC Rocky Mountain Chapter is proud to announce that we have expanded our organization beyond the Denver Metro area and into Northern, Western and Southern Colorado to make our resources and programs more accessible to members throughout the state. This has been a primary initiative of our Board of Directors and regional councils which are comprised of members who have committed to establishing and overseeing committees within the region to lead the effort to build a strong and active membership that strengthens the industry and delivers value-added services and programs to all members.
