BOB PIPER CONSTRUCTION EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
Eighteen years ago, the Rocky Mountain chapter took steps toward building the construction workforce by creating a scholarship fund to aid students who will be continuing their education in a construction related field. This year the chapter raised over $15,000, which was awarded to the following scholarship recipients:
INDIVIDUAL AWARDS Tony Dietrich Safety Professional of the Year
Dave Ruddy, Pinkard Construction
Dave has been invaluable to the process of rebuilding a proactive and positive safety culture at Pinkard that is unmatched. His most recent initiative is conducting audio-visual toolbox talks on each jobsite. Using av equipment onsite, Dave delivers far more impactful toolbox talks that bring greater employee participation. His leadership, knowledge, dedication, and professionalism is second to none, and he is very deserving of recognition for the positive difference he is making in his industry.
Outstanding Field Professional of the Year
Logan Doolen, Duro Electric
Logan has built a strong foundation of trust and integrity on all the projects he has been a part of. His commitment to building strong relationships with his crew, other trades, general contractor partners, and the customer has led Duro to profitable jobs and additional contract work. He is often asked specifically to oversee projects by the general contractor because of his attitude and leadership. He is conscious of the safety and health for all workers on the project, not just those employed by Duro. Every task is thought out, planned, and executed with safety in mind.
