Denver, CO – On April 19th, 2018 The Associated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter (ABCRMC) hosted over 250 members of the construction industry from all over the Denver metropolitan area at the Westin Denver Downtown. The attendees, including both Rocky Mountain Chapter members and invited guests, gathered for an entertaining and informative economic forecast complete with networking and breakfast. Anirban Basu, ABC’s Chief Economist, presented to the audience his predictions on what is in store for Colorado’s economy in 2018 and how it will impact the construction industry. The presentation was introduced by Doug Carlson, ABCRMC President and CEO; Brett Denison, ABCRMC Director of Member Services; Dennis Walker with United Rentals, Presenting Sponsor; and Robert Marceau with RK, ABCRMC’s Chairman of the Board. Anirban touched on job markets, real estate costs, foreign investments, tax cuts, and so much more within just over an hour of presenting. He warned the audience that despite the current strength of the economy, there is much that can go wrong.
