Please note: ABC provides the classroom curriculum for use in your in-house training program and third party grading of tests, your company must submit an Application for Apprenticeship Training Program to the Wyoming State Electrical Board for approval.

The state of Wyoming requires ALL apprentices, regardless of status, must be enrolled or intend to be enrolled in a bona-fide apprentice training program before registration or renewal can be completed.
An apprentice electrician shall be required to work four (4) years, a minimum of 8000 hours under the direct supervision of a licensed journeyman or master electrician.

What are the general procedures?

Upon receipt of your registration we will order the appropriate books to be shipped directly from the publisher to your company. We will also mail copies of the appropriate tests.  The apprentice can then proceed at their own pace and take each module using the textbooks and classroom instruction for the learning process.  EACH TEST MUST BE TAKEN IN A CLOSED-BOOK, PROCTORED ENVIRONMENT.  Submit each test back to ABC for grading.  They can submit tests in batches or one-at-a-time, your option.

Monthly the apprentice coordinator will be sent an update report showing all tests received to date, the grades, the questions missed and the date the tests were graded.  All apprentices for each company will appear on one sheet.

As the apprentice finishes each level of coursework, a certificate of completion will be mailed to the company.
