Supporting Candidates who Support the Merit Shop
ABC is battling to keep you building! We continue to lead the fight of protecting merit shop and the free enterprise by endorsing the election of candidates who support the merit shop. This is accomplished through financial support of pro-merit shop candidates at both the federal and state levels.
Federal Elections
From the Presidential election to Congressional races, ABC works within the federal election process to further the goals of the association through direct involvement in supporting and/or opposing candidates.

Statewide Elections
Endorsement of statewide candidates is based upon their alignment with our free enterprise and pro-merit shop legislative agenda. Members of ABC’s Government Affairs committee, in conjunction with ABC’s lobbying team, have made their recommendations based up analyzes of the voting records of incumbents or through interviews with new candidates.
The Board of Directors has endorsed a bipartisan slate of pro-merit shop candidates based upon the recommendation of the committee. Once approved by the board, each candidate will receive financial support from ABC RMC’s Political Committee.
